Ye（旧姓：Kanye West）が、「YEWS」というフレーズの商標登録を申請したと報じられた。
報道によると2023年10月上旬頃、ロサンゼルスのメルローズアベニューにある Ye の会社 Ox Paha Inc. が「YEWS」の商標出願を行なった記録が残っているという。
Ye は「YEWS」のロゴを用いて金融、不動産、衣料品、エンターテイメント、美容、レストランなど様々なサービスに関与していくと思われる。
46歳の Ye は、昨年末に反ユダヤ主義的な発言をして以来、比較的スポットライトから遠ざかっていた。
Ye 自身は未だ商標「YEWS」に関する発言は行っていないが、SNS上ではすでに様々な憶測が流れている。
